promises

o e o e nidalarıyla süslenen cranberries şarkısı. dolores'in benzersiz vokaliyle dikkat çeker.

ses teknolojisinin bir armağanı cranberries şarkısı. Halbuki bu grup böyle teknolojik kayıtlardan uzak dursa, o vokalin saf sesi yumuşak bir müzikle doldurulsa ne kadar güzel olur.

the cranberriesin a$mi$ ve Dolores O'Riordan'in o güzel sesiyle bizi gaza getirdiği $arkidir.

megadethin insanı her dinlediğinde duygulandıran mükemmel şarkılarından biri.

take that' in ilk albümü take that and party' de yer alan şarkı. sözleri:

Standing back I can't believe how you've led me on
And judging by the things you say
There's gotta be something wrong
What you telling me that for when you don't mean it
What you telling me that for I don't believe it

Your promises have never been anything you made them seem
So what you gonna promise me this time
You're telling lies so plain to see
You're trying to make a fool of me
So what you gonna promise me this time
I wanna know

Seems like I've been playing your game
And now you think you've won
But when you count up what you've gained you're the lonely one
What you telling me that for when you don't mean it
What you telling me that for I don't believe it
Your promises have never been anything you made them see .

(bkz: badly drawn boy)

I promise you will get old
I promised you everything
To protect you wherever you go
I'll give you this diamond ring

Just promise you will remember
A promise should last forever
Right up to the dying embers
Of a fire that burns so slow

It's a different day everyday
Don't want you to walk alone
But how long we carry on
When all of these things have gone

Just promise you will remember
A promise should last forever
It's the last of the dying embers
Of a fire that burns so slowly

It's a beautiful thing to do
Sometimes you just have to walk away
Remember I do love you
Have courage in what you say

Just promise you will remember
Promises last forever
Still left of the dying embers
The fire that burns so slowly

Sometimes you just have to walk away
Sometimes you just have to walk away
Wishing today was yesterday
Yeah, sometimes you just have to walk away

bir savage garden parçası. sözleri de aşağıdadır.

Well don't you know I need a
little indulgence?
Listen to the hunter becoming
hunted
Everyday there's a million advances
Don't be too forceful you'll ruin
your chances
Well don't you know that time is a
broken glass
That splinters against the wall?
But the picture is coming back
now baby
And I want to take it all

Don't go making all these promises
you know you cannot keep
There's a time to play a king and a
time to be a thief
'Cause if you're making all these
promises you know you cannot keep
You know time will be the thief and
your fallen king end up alone

So let your body move a little bit closer
Silent like the sound proceeding a cyclone
Don't you know that powerful thinking
Can be a force you don't want
to relinquish?
Well don't you know that
They say hanging on will justify the wait?
But patience and elated wisdom
don't share a common phrase

Don't go making all these promises
you know you cannot keep
There's a time to play a king and a
time to be a thief
'Cause if you're making all these
promises you know you cannot keep
You know time will be the thief and
your fallen king end up alone

Well I'm only hanging on for what
goes down
I'm floating high and my feet don't
touch the ground
I'd take advantage but I can't see
through this charade
So don't you, don't go make it harder
that hell
'Cause it comes down to the making
You'd better be damned sure you can
take it
Hey baby

Don't go making all these promises
you know you cannot keep
There's a time to play a king and a
time to be a thief
'Cause if you're making all these
promises you know you cannot keep
You know time will be the thief and
your fallen king end up alone

Time will be the thief
and your fallen king will end up...
A fool, a fool, a lonely sorry fool
Oh baby, 'cause I told you baby

dave Mustaine/al Pitrelli

Two hearts that shouldn't
Talk to each other become close
In a town much like a prison cell

People speak our names
On the street in hushed tones
Oh the stories they'd tell
If anyone would listen

You come from a town where
People don't bother saying hello
Unless somebody's born or dies

And I come from a place where they
Drag your hopes through the mud
Because their own dreams are all dying

And when we walk down the street
The wind sings our name in rebel songs
The sounds of the night should make us anxious
But it's much too late when the fear is gone

I will meet you in the Next Life, I promise you
Where we can be together, I promise you
I will wait till then in Heaven, I promise you
I promise, I promise

There's so many fighting
To get past the Pearly Gates
But nobody ever wants to die or get saved

Their intentions aren't that good
And I can smell the asphalt
That's their personal road to hell being paved

And when we walk down the street
The wind sings our names in rebel songs
And it's much too late when the fear is gone

I will meet you in the Next Life, I promise you
Where we can be together, I promise you
I will wait till then in Heaven, I promise you
I promise, I promise

Bury the hatchet albümünden süper bir the cranberries şarkısı. Sözleri şöyle :

You'd better believe I'm coming
You'd better believe what I say
You'd better hold on to your promises
Because you bet you'll get what you deserve.

She's going to leave him over
She's going take her love away
So much for your eternal vows, well
It does not matter anyway.

Why can't you stay
Here a while
Stay here awhile
Stay with me.

Oh oh oh oh oh oh
All the promises we made
Promises we made
All the meaningless and empty words I broke
Broke broooke

Oh oh oh oh oh
All the promises we broke
Promises we broke
All the meaningless and empty words I spoke
Spoke spooooke

What of all the things that you taught me
What of all the things that you'd say
What of all your prophetic preaching
You're just throwing it all away

Maybe we should burn the house down
Have ourselves another fight
Leave the cobwebs in the closet
'Cause tearing them out is just not right

Why can't you stay
Here awhile
Stay here awhile
Stay with me

Oh oh oh oh oh
All the promises we made
Promises we made
All the meaningless and empty words I prayed
Prayed praaaayed

Oh oh oh oh oh
All the promises we broke
Promises we broke
All the meaningless and empty words I spoke
Spoke Spooooke

Oh oh oh oh oh
All the promises we made
Promises we made
All the meaningless and empty words I prayed
Prayed praaaayed

Oh oh oh oh oh
All the promises we broke
Promises we broke
All the meaningless and empty words I spoke
Spoke Spooooke

Oh hey oh hey oh hey ...
