death'in sound olarak diğer tüm albümlerinden farklı bir havaya sahip olan albümü. kuşkusuz bunda cynic elemanları paul masvidal ve sean reinert'ın payı büyüktür. bu albüm dinlenmeden tam anlamıyla death dinledim denmemelidir.

özellikle s&m albümü versiyonu mutlaka dinlenmesi gereken metallica şarkısı.

albüm öncesindeki avrupa turuna "albüm calışmalarını hızlandırmak" icin gitmek istemeyen chuk schuldiner a inat terry butler ve bill andrews ın ısrarları sonuc vermez. bu ikili yanlarına başka birilerini bulup "death" adı altında turneye gitmek isterler, chuck "hayır" der. hayır a karşın gene de giderler ve orda milleti chuck a karşı kışkırtırlar.
death grubunun tarihindeki en önemli/büyük olaylardan biri olan bu olay human albümünün cıkmasına etki eder, albümün "intimak albümü" olmasını saglar. yanılmıyorsam bu albüm kitapcıgında chuck in yazdıgı yazıda "intikam" lafı gecmektedir.

22 ekim 1991'de çıkan,death'in 4. albümüdür.chuck schuldiner albümün gitatisti,vokalisti ve scott burns ile prodüktörü olmuştur.Lack of Comprehension'a bir video çekilmiştir.toplam süresi 34:02 dakikadır.death'in en çok satan albümüdür.
