Amerikan Marşı olmakla birlikte,Jimi HendriX yüzünden hayatımıza girmiştir.hendrix in eseri iyi icra etmesinden dolayı sıkça dinlemekteyiz.Fakat aklıma şu soru geliyor.Amerika o ulusal marşı kazanmak için ne yaptı,ne zorluklar çekti.Akla cevabı gelse de insan merak ediyor.

3 mart 1931 tarihine kadar resmi milli marş olarak kullanılmamış, her 4 temmuzda dönemin ünlü şarkıcılarından birisi tarafından yorumlanan marştır. marş sözlerini francis scott key'in ingiliz kraliyet donanması'nın baltimore'daki mchenry kalesini bombardıman etmesinin ardından yazdığı şiirinden alır. özellikle leann rimes'tan dinlenilen versiyonu enfestir.
