push jerkte ayaklar olimpiyatlarda izlediğimiz gibi olmaz, o split jerktir. push jerk ise biraz daha zor ve biraz daha esneklik isteyen bir harekettir. jerk hareketinde core gücü çok önemlidir. ayrıca omuz stabilitesi (özellikle push jerkte) mühimdir. shoulder press ten çok daha ağır kilolar yapılabilinir. patlayıcı gücü arttırdığı söylenir, ancak jerk yaparak aslında sadece jerk i kuvvetlendirebilirsiniz. bir de core bölgesi sağlam ağırlıklarla çalışmış olur.
