New Jersey doğumludur. çoğunlukla ve sıklıkla çalışan kesimin sıkıntılarını dile getiren besteleri vardır. blues festivallerinin vazgeçilmez ismidir. rithm'n'blues formatındaki çalışmalarında çaldığı triplet yoğunluklu sololar ve riff ler tadından yenmez. yeni yetenekleri camiaya kazandırmak için genç yetenekleri kendi konserlerinde sahneye çıkarmaktadır. John Mayall ve grubu ile de düet yapmıştır. Kanser hastalığına yakalanmış ancak henüz yenik düşmemiştir. 6 Mart 1951 doğumludur. albümleri:
