abd'nin new mexico eyaletindeki gerçekleştirilen, albert einstein, niels bohr, Leó Szilárd edward teller gibi bilimadamlarının dahil olduğu amerika'nın nükleer silah üretme çalışmalarına verilen genel isim. bu çalışmalar sonucunda elde edilen "ürünlerden" little boy 6 ağustosta hiroşimaya, fat man ise 9 ağustosta nagazakiye atıldı.
