albümü dinledikçe ah keşke ilk önce the dark eternal night a bir video çekselermiş dedirten, ama havasındaysanız insanı kudurtan, fazla metallica bir şarkı. petrucci 40 yaşına geldi hala shred takılıyor dedirtmesi de cabası. prog gitaristi olmak için illaki hızlı çalmaya gerek yok kanaatinde olan bendenizin şahsi düşüncesidir. myung'a laf yok ama ! bu arada şarkıyı dinlerken james'leri karıştırıp hetfield dinlediğinizi sanmanız gayet muhtemel.

mike portnoy'un şarkı başında zilleri bir güzel dövmesiyle havaya sokan, gaz bir riffe sahip olan, müthiş dream theater yapıtı.

bu kadar da olmaz artık dedirten birebir metallica taklidi girişten sonra yavaş yavaş kendini toparlayan, sert gırtlaklı bir james dinlemekten keyif aldığımız, portnoy'un aradaki ataklarıyla dantel gibi süslediği, petrucci'nin sonuna doğru iyice shred moduna girerek karın ağrıttığı, ustalar ustası jordan rudess'in ne eksik ne fazla , tam ayarında konumlandığı, en başarılı performansı kanaatimce öyle fazla göze batmadan da olsa koreli bas gitar dahimiz john myung'un gösterdiği ortalamanın az üstünde, çokça train of thought u anımsatan ve bir kere daha kurtulun şu metallica'dan artık dedirten ama 10 tane metallica'nın bir araya gelse böyle bir şarkı kotaramayacağı da bir gerçek olan dt şarkısı.

sanırım videonun teması mike portnoy'a ait. basit ama adrenalini yüksek bir video olmuş. yalnız albümü sattırmak için çektikleri bu videoda şarkıyı epeyce kırpmış olduklarını da belirtelim.

Tek güzel yerinin 3.52 ile 5.00 olduğu dt'nin en etkisiz parçası olmakla beraber sırf yaratanın dt olması bile sevilmesine bi nedendir. (bkz: Dream theater olsun çamurdan olsun)
