dixie

amerikan iç savaşı sırasında birleşik devletlerden ayrılarak csa'i kuran 11 eyalete verilen isimdir. günümüzde de amerikanın güney eyaletlerinin geneli için kullanılır. dixie isminin kaynağı hakkında bir çok teori vardır ama bunlar sadece varsayımdır.

iç savaş sırasında csa'in milli marş olarak kullandığı pek de güzel bir şarkıdır. özellikle bobby horton veya 2nd South Carolina String Band versiyonları dinlenesidir.
