happy you re gone

placebo nun 8 hazirada çıkan albümü battle for the sun'ın en güzel şarkılarından.
brian bu şarkıyı "hiçkimseye" yazdığını söylemişti.

24 haziran 2009 konserinde bağıra bağıra söylemiştim harikaydı.evet harika

özellikle "how many times?now i can't look you in the eyes" kısmı can alıcıdır.

birde brian abimizin vokalleri gercekten aşmıstır bu sarkıda..

breathe me
everytime you close your eyes
taste me
every time you cry
this memory will fade away and die
just for today
breathe me and say goodbye

[chorus]
how many times?
how many times?
now i can't look you in the eye
now i can't look you in the eye
how many times?
how many times?
now i can't look you in the eye

see me
in the eyes of another's child
turn away
when you see me walkin' by
once in a while
this melody will fade away and die
just for today
breathe me and say goodbye

[chorus]
how many times?
how many times?
now i can't look you in the eye
now i can't look you in the eye
how many times?
how many times?
now i can't look you in the eye

i don't even want to try

[chorus]
how many times?
how many times?
now i can't look you in the eye
how many times?
how many times?
now i can't look you in the eye

see me
in the eyes of another's child
turn away
when you see me walkin' by
once in a while
this melody will fade away and die
just for today
breathe me and say goodbye

battle for the sun adlı albümün en güzel placebo şarkısıdır.

Ayrılık sonrası dinlenmesi makuldur. Hele de aldatıldıysanız.
Şarkının brian molko'nun eski hamile kalan kız arkadaşına yazıldığı rivayet edilir. Bu dedikoduya göre "See me in the eyes of another's child" sözleri de çocuğun brian'dan olmadığına işaret eder. "Now i can't look you in the eye" da bu teoriyi destekler.
