On the evening August 25,2002.I went to the same cold field I had 10 years earlier to summon the spirit of Judas Iscariot,but this time ı just gave it all back to the stars.This release is the band's departing release and Judas Iscariot now sleeps with eternity...

The reason for my decision was purely artistic and based upon concrete changes in my life.Since moving to Europe I am a changed person,shaped by different environments and experiences.I now have my space from Christianity,and my life isn't a constant daily mental battle as it was in the USA,where I lived in rural area very strongly grips of christian morality..

In Europe it became too difficult to write purely anti-christian works with personal touch of the earlier albums..This is why ''To Embrace the Corpses Bleeding'' and ''Moonlight Butchery'' albums written after my move to Europe,have less to do with anti-christianity but more to do with exploring the cruel spirit of mankind.Of course all Judas Iscariot releases are in their fundamentals works of anti-christianity,but it's this personal touch which made Judas Iscariot special..

I would never compromise my music's integrity by releasing a dishonest of uninspired work of any form..So instead of watching the project go into a direction so removed from its original concept,I decided to simply end it with honour..

My decision was not influenced by the metal scene or any other mundane factors.I would never end a project for the weak reason that ı am tired of 'the scene' or the outside world in general..I never made decisions for my art based on public opinion.Judas Iscariot was a very personal expression and ı would never end it for any reason other than serving it an honourable end.To run away from the world,or from anyone or anything in it,is to how to cowardess..

The end of Judas Iscariot also does not mean I have abondoned the path of Black/Death Metal.It is simply the end of this project.However,for now I will continue other projects anonymously or under different artist,names as I fear they will otherwise suffer in the shadows of Judas Iscariot.I hate this cult of personality around the name ''akhenaten'' and I want an objective treatment of my music.I am not a f**king Black Metal star nor do ı want to become one.I am simply a disciple of this art/ideology,no better or more important than you now holding this paper.So my work in the Black/Death Metal underground is certainly not over,only my physical death will bring that.But for Judas Iscariot the band's time had arrived..

I want to extend my gratitude to all maniacs who have uncompromisingly supported Judas Iscariot over the years.I wrote and recored the music for myself,but ı released it for YOU.My hope is that my work filled your minds with visions of eternal nihilism and wrath,and maybe even gave you a bit more strentgh to exist on this miserable superficial planet.But the spirit of Judas Iscariot is now with back with the stars and must live on in the spirits and minds of those it touched..
