walkabout

nicolas roeg, eğer filme ilham kaynağı olan kitaba sadık kalsaydı walkabout; içerisinde çeşitli maceraların olduğu, şehirli kızla aborjinin aşkını anlatan cinsel bir fanteziye dönüşebilirdi. fakat yönetmenin derdi şehir ile doğa arasındaki zıtlığı anlatmaktı ve şayet bu zıt yerlerden gelen karakterlerin cinsel yolla dahi olsa iletişim kurabilmeleri mümkün olsaydı film ile öyküsü arasında anlam ayrılığı oluşurdu. neyse ki roeg, ne böyle gafilce bir hataya düşer ne de filmi sığ bir aşk bataklığına saplar. bundan ötürüdür ki walkabout, sinema tarihindeki en anlamlı ve ayrıntılı toplumbilimsel çalışmalardan biridir! fakat bu durum walkabout’un soğuk bir film olduğu şeklinde yorumlanmamalıdır çünkü anlatılan hikaye duygusal açıdan sürpriz biçimde dokunaklıdır da!

paralel kesmeler (böyle bir tanımlama var mı bilmiyorum) sayesinde beğenimi kazanmış nicolas roeg filmi. beyaz kadının çıplaklığına odaklanan gözlerin, bir saniye sonra çıplak aborijin kadınından gözlerini kaçırması gibi ya da aborjinin hayatını ikame etme adına öldürdüğü hayvanı parçalara ayırırken ilkel olarak adlandırılmasına rağmen beyaz insanın kasaptaki modern (!) et kesme görüntülerine geçişi gibi hoş detaylara sahip. hele son sahnede hanım kızımızın yüzündeki pişmanlık ifadesi bir nevi ilkel hayata övgü değerinde.

1971 ingiltere yapımı bir film. bir kız, küçük kardeşi ve tanıştıkları bir aborjin delikanlısının hikayesini anlatmaktadır. bu arkadaşlar filmin bir sahnesinde gölette çırılçıplak yüzerler.
