Christopher Walken vardır başrolde, tabi ki yine oyunculuğunun zirvesine çıkar fakat sakın ola filmi izlemeyin, atmosfer kötü, konu da orijinal ama hafif saçma. Efendim şimdi melek Cebrail (Chris oynuyor kendilerini muhteşem bir şekilde) cennet cehennem savaşı sürerken sıradan insanların cennete alındıklarını gördüklerini sinirlenirler ve böylece Cebrail dünyaya bir ruh aramanın peşine düşer. Her ne kadar esas karakterimiz Cebrail gibi görünsede, ana karakterimiz bir detektifdir.

sözlerinin girmesiyle sanki açık denize açılmış gibi bir his veren iron maiden şarkısı. bu yönüyle karayip korsanları filmine güzel soundtrack olurmuş. sonu da fevkalade, harikuladedir.

sonundaki akustik soloyla kemale erdiren seventh son of a seventh son albümünden iron maiden şarkısı.

son 30 saniyesi ile seneler sonra double talkin jive ile devam edecek bir akımın öncesi olmuştur. ve yine ilginç bir şekilde ikisi de dünyanın en güzel şarkılarındandır.

bildiğim kadarıyla bu şarkının bestecisi dave murraydir. diğer gruplara göre belki aşmış bir şarkı olabilir ama iron maiden için sıradan bir şarkı.

solo dedin kalbimi çaldın. iron maiden candır ya.

Iron Maiden'ın en önemli albumlerinden biri olan Seventh son albumunden çıkan parça. Mükemmeldir, candır,canandır. Hele hele Adrian ve Dave'ın çaldığı bir verse vardır, orgazm hissi verir.

1995 yapımı epik bir cennet cehennem savaşı. savaşı sonlandırmak üzere dünyadan bir insan ruhu getirmesi gereken bir cebrail var karşımızda. oyunculuk muazzam, hikaye de aynı şekilde.

john milton eseri kayıp cennet'e göndermelerle dolu bir film. gabriel, uziel, simon, lucifer hepsi bir arada. arada dedektif karakterimiz dalar işin içine; törenler yapılması gerekir, tanrılar kurban istiyordur.

geoffrey chaucer, dante, john milton gibi yazarlar bir şeyler ifade ediyorsa, görülmesi gereken filmler arasında ilk sıralarda mutlaka yerini alır.

i remember the first war, the way the sky burned, the faces of angels destroyed. i saw a third of heaven's legion banished and the creation of hell. i stood with my brothers and watched lucifer fall. but now my brothers are not brothers, and we have come here where we are mortal to steal the dark soul, not yet lucifer's, to serve our cause. i have always obeyed, but i never thought the war would happen again.

lucifer: other angels have made this war because they hate you, you and all humans. god has put you in his grace and pushed them aside. they're desperate. they've never been able to conquer the other loyal angels, and so this war has remained in stalemate for thousands of years. and while this state of affairs endures no soul can meet its god. your parents, and their parents, and so on from the beginning lie still in wormy earth. of course, some of them do come to me eventually, for while heaven may be closed i am always open, even on christmas.
