(21 Ocak 1941 - 22 Nisan 2013) ABD'li folk müzik şarkıcısı ve gitarist. En çok yoğun ritmik gitar çalma tarzıyla (open tuning) bilinir. 1969'da Woodstock Festivali'nde sahne açılışını yapan ilk müzisyendir.

1941 new york doğumlu afro amerikalı folk müzik gitaristi. çok iyi bir akustik ritim gitarcıdır.gitarını genel bilinenin aksine re majorden akort lar ve akorları farklı pozisyonlarda basar. sağ el hakimiyeti çok iyidir ayrıca çalışında bariz bir zerafet ve ruh da vardır. ne demek itediğimi merak edenler şu linki tıkladıklarında harika bir just like a woman yorumuyla karşılaşacaklar. (büyük ustaya saygısızlık olmasın ama bence bob dylan dan daha güzel çalmış.
