alfred hitchcock şaheseri. siyah beyaz çekimlere sahip olan filmde, hitchcock'un titizliği birçok sahnede belli oluyor.

anthony perkins müthiş rol yapmıştır ve duş sahnesinde 70 adet kamera kullanılmış ve yanlış hatırlamıyorsam bu sahne için 7 gün harcanmış.

sadece tirt değil tirt oglan tirt bir şarkıdır. şarkının tirtoluğu yetmezmiş gibi homoseksüel elemanlara sahip bir grubun şarkısıdır ki şarkıya daha büyük bir anlamsızlık katar. ayrıca metal değildir. üstüne üstelik şarkının sonuna doğru çalınan tek tel üzerinde ritmik ileri geri hareketleri solo değildir. ritimleri de kapı gıcırtısına denktir. böylesine bir anlam karmaşası işte.

Robert Bloch'un polisiye romanıdır. Alfred Hitchcock tarafından sinemaya uyarlanmış ve sinema tarihinin en başarılı gerilim filmlerinden biri olmuştur. Özellikle Anthony Perkins'in canlandırdığı Norman Bates karakteri sinsi ve hastalıklı gülüşüyle akıllarda kalmıştır. Filmin özellikle ev içi sahnelerindeki sinir bozucu sessizlik ve tedirginlik hissi filmin sonundaki sahneyle perçinlenir. Belki okumamak değil ama izlememek kayıptır.
