1. 2002'de Denver'da okul arkadaşları ısaac slade* ve joe king* tarafından kurulmuş gruptur. ben wysocki ve dave welsh'i kadrosuna katan grup Denver'da çeşitli performanslarının ardından lokal popülerliği yakalayıp ilk demolarıyla denver westword magazin tarafından en iyi grup seçilir ve 2004'te epic records'tan how to save a life adlı albümü ile eylül 2005'te dünyaya açılır. grubun sözleri de gayet dişli olan ve aynı adı taşıyan şarkısı kesinlikle dinlemeye değerdir.
