1. türkçeye derin sular olarak çevrilmiş can yayınları'ndan çıkan patricia highsmith romanı.vic ve karısı melindanın arasının kötü olması nedeniyle melindanın başka erkeklerle yaptığı cilveleşmeler, başta oldukça sakin gözükse de vic'in daha sonra kendini kaybetmesi ,adım adım psikopatlaşması oldukça etkileyici şekilde anlatılmış.patricia highsmith 'in edebi gücüne ve zekasına hayran kalmamak elde değil.zaten onunla ilgili bir eleştirmen yorumu da her şeyi açıklıyor:"bir örümcek sinekleri yazmaya kalksaydı nasıl yazardı,highsmith de insanları öyle yazar işte."
